Yes, you have read that title right. Rick Riordan is writing a new series set in the world of Percy Jackson! This new book series will focus on the Greek God Apollo. (D’uh!)

So far, all we know is that Apollo gets on Zeus’ bad side and sends him to the mortal world as a 16-year old boy. As a god with many enemies, he has to turn to his few friends at Camp Half-Blood. We’ll get a chance to see how the lives of our favorite demigods are after the events of Blood of Olympus. And the whole plot will revolve on Apollo trying to regain his godly powers and position.

This news comes off the release of his other new series Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, with book one: The Sword of Summer.

The Trials of Apollo Book 1: The Hidden Oracle is slated for release on May 3, 2016. While Magnus Chase Book 2: The Hammer of Thor, is set for October 4, 2016.

A preview of The Hidden Oracle will be available when Riordan’s Demigods & Magicians is released on April 5, 2016.

    1. Thank you for your comment. To be honest, I have read all the books in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, and the Heroes of Olympus series. I love both series, and I’m excited for this new one to come out.

  1. So do I. ☺ Thank you for sharing the news. I just wanted you to know that I linked your post to my article so that my readers can find out more details about the new series. I’m just so happy to share to my fellow Percy Jackson fans that we have something to look forward to even when we thought the Percy world ended in The Heroes of Olympus. 😁
